Winter to Spring and an AGM

We have slowly been moving into brighter days and it was nice to have our slightly delayed AGM post Christmas, rather than before it. Dave, our stalwart Secretary (and acting Chair for some time) did a run through of last year's activities. We had many nice outings, including our entertaining treasure hunt in Russborough House organised by Dave. This also included our new tradition of having an annual outing to have a bit of social chit chat.
Pre-Christmas was mostly taken up with Calendar prep, organised by Conor. It's our second year to produce a calendar and it looked great and sold well.
Although we didn't have many meetings in the latter part of the year, our members were out and about, getting some fantastic winter shots -

We signed off on last year's activities and then we got on to the business of re-elections.  Officers for this new year remain pretty much the same - Carmel O'Connor is Treasurer for another year, Dave Byrne is secretary for another year (although has stipulated that this will be his last) and I agreed to take on the role of Chair again (Cliona Kelliher).
Conor Williams presented a tentative schedule of events for the upcoming year and it was agreed by all that this was a great idea to keep momentum going.
First things planned are a trip to the John Minihan talk hosted by Athy Photographic Society and a trip in March to the National Gallery.
See part of the schedule below (this of course may be subject to change)

We welcomed some new members and hope to increase our membership considerably in 2020,
so do get in touch if you fancy joining in!
A big thanks also to Dan Kenny for managing our Instagram Account and to Niamh O'Connor for managing the Facebook.
